To Whom It May Concern:
Several years ago, I started building my log cabin in the Swall Meadows area. At
first, we had a rather tumultuous experience. It started with my logs sitting on my
lot for a very long time & getting warped. We fired one log setter & hired a new one
that agreed to take on the entire framing project. Half way through the project with a
lot of problems to fix, we had to locate a new general contractor. Most
unfortunately, we lost this gentleman to cancer. Before his passing, he managed to
introduce me to Mr. Mark Neave.
It crossed my mind to buy a sail boat instead, as building here would make you
seasick.
I believe that it was Mark’s first home in Northern California. By then, you might
think that I was literally frantic... But, truly not! Mark had extensive knowledge in
cabinetry in Australia with a calm & confident demeanor. He had to review & fix
numerous serious framing problems & re-design the stairs that would not pass the
inspection, all left from the previous incompetence. He submerged himself into this
project, he was ingenious & his craftsmanship for the details are deserving of the
European legacy. Every single family member or friend that stays at my home is in
awe with the work & the warmth our home exults. My wife & I had also dealt with
Susanna Neave whom gave us awesome support with extra-ordinary suppliers &
kept with us a smooth accounting. They were fair giving us the quality of work &
peace of mind throughout the project that I could not find early on elsewhere.
Since the completion of our home, I saw a few newer constructions of his, which
hold the same trademarks. Mark is welcome to show you our home, and so to forge
your own opinions.
Cordially,
Reid & Lori Malinbaum
